Rita Ndoci
Singer and actress, part of the professional Estrada of Shkodra. Holds the title “Great Master”
Born in Shkoder on April 20. She graduated from the High Institute of Arts for actresses in the period 1986-1990. Rita headed the “Preng Jakova” high school of music in her hometown in Shkoder, but failed to qualify for the high school for Canto in Tirana.
During this period, she works as a teacher of music, and instruments in Shkoder. At the beginning of the 80s, she started her artistic career singing in front of the microphone, where she stood out in particular for her performance at the Gjirokastra Folk Festival, which was held at the “Partizani” Sports Palace in Tirana before the edition the leader Enver Hoxha and the political bureau of the time.
It was precisely October 16, 1983, when Rita, as a representative of Shkodra at this festival, appeared with Shkodra’s song “Kellefin me ar ta cova”. The applause was great. With this song, Rita is even awarded with a medal. On the pages of the newspapers it was read that “A talent was added in Shkodër”.
During the 80s, there was a wide activity and recitals throughout Albania at that time. On January 3, 1985, Rita Ndoci will become part of the staff of the Estrada of Theater in Shkoder as an actress of this great institution.
Thus, on the stage of the “Migjeni” theater, for the first time, she interprets in several humor pieces. To mention a role as a women who fall victim to a tape recorder that they do not know how to use and insult the lady of the house in the corridor, while she was preparing coffee.
Then we find her performing in the well-known piece “Brother-in-law Xhemal”, playing the English teacher, Lili, the girl that Loni (Mr. Deda) came to marry. Here she is among the luminaries of Shkodran and Albanian humor, big names like Tano Banushi, Zyliha Miloti, Katrina Biga, Drande Xhai and Zef Deda. 
“Did you come to take inventory of the house” will be one of her funny joke in this sketch. Meanwhile “Loni” asks her in English “How do you do”? and she continues with the answer in English “You are dog”!!! 
In order not to remain a small comedy actress, in 1986, with the insistence of the head of the conservatory’s chair for drama, she went to Tirana to compete for an actress. Graduated from ILA in 1990. After graduation with the troupe of the “Military Troup”, Rita Ndoci toured all over Albania with this troupe in October 1990.
During the period of studies at ILA, she became active in the “New Year” celebration programs. Perhaps Rita was the only young girl of the 80s who tried to make humor in all of Albania, despite the difficulties, opinions and all the rumors of that time.
It should also be mentioned that she was the first to do the hidden camera, with the help of Vera Grabocka. In this hidden camera, she played roles with social problems. As the first role, she plays a barber at the ballet school. This is how she begins her “work” by foaming at the clientele, and then starts boring them by provoking.
After she would tell them the truth of the hiden camera that she was doing, but people still didn’t understand what it was only when they saw themselves on the festive “New Year’s Eve on the TVSH screen.
Another role of the hidden camera has been that of a police officer telling the citizens checking them out if they been drinking.
Participates as a guest for the first time in the 24th Song Festival at RTSH in 1985. By order of the former RTSH director, the late Marash Hayati, she becomes the first to remove the microphone from the tripod and hold it in her hand, an action that was not seen since the 11th edition of the famous festival, but since 1985 she continued to be followed by others.
In the period 86-90, she was invited to the song festival to make funny jokes by performing with the parodists of Vlora.
Even after the 90s, Rita developed activities in Europe, the USA as well as within the country in Albania in the big New Year’s Eve program, but also participation in important activities in Tirana, Pristina. 
In 1988, at the Spring Festival, in the position of announcer, Rita Ndoci did not introduce the singers by name, but only with imitations.
Besides the activity as a singer and actress in the theater “Migjeni” in Shkoder, she also played a very small role in the beautiful film of Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”, “The Militant”! 
She has been honored with many awards as a singer and actress.
In 2001, Ndoci was invited to the show “I love Albania more” and was rated among the 10 most prominent figures in art who do not live in Albania, and was honored by the president of the time with the title “ambassador of the nation” and recently received the title “Grand Master”. 
She feels happy that no matter how little she has given to the people humor and joy, which has not spared the applause for dozens of years. Even today, the artist from Shkodra feels appreciated and honored by the audience of all Albanian artists. 
Since 1991, she has been living in Germany as a translator in court hearings, but without neglecting her passion for singing.
